Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The cleaning happens entirely in your browser using byte-level processing. There is no upload, no storage, no server — which is also why it's instant regardless of file size.
What metadata is removed?
EXIF (camera model, GPS location, capture date), XMP, IPTC, comments, and AI-provenance payloads such as C2PA content credentials embedded by AI image generators like Midjourney, DALL·E or Gemini.
Does it reduce image quality?
No. For JPEG, PNG and WebP the image data is untouched — only metadata segments are removed, losslessly. Other formats (HEIC, TIFF…) are re-encoded to PNG at full resolution.
